Kerry - Totally Humorless Mental Midget

I don't have much time for totally humorless people, liiiike John Kerry, for example. I don't know if you've noticed, but when humorless people try to sound a little note of humor, they fail, often miserably. Witness John Kerry's comment about study: "Get smart or end up stuck in Iraq."

In very plain English, he made this either / or statement. No qualifiers, other than a little insufferable smirk at the end of the statement. No matter who said it, it is at every level a thoroughly insulting remark. A reasonable listener would infer that Kerry believes that if you are in Iraq, you are less "smart" than if you are not in Iraq.

Let's leave aside the evidence that there are plenty of unsmart people still stuck in this country, just look around, and focus only on [totally humorless] Kerry's over-the-top attempt to deal with his so stupid he should be in Iraq statement. He tried to explain it away as a botched attempt at humor, and that he was really describing President Bush. You know, Bush didn't study, but nevertheless made a ton of money through various business ventures, was elected governor of Texas and then elected President of the United States - TWICE, and then, wanting to avenge the 9/11 attackers, he took the fight to the evildoers in Afganistan and Iraq, and quickly and efficiently kicked the bad guys' asses.

The fact that we're in deep and not enjoying the international support we certainly would have if the appeasers had been running things, is a subject for another discussion, although I expect we never would have been able to persuade the wafflers and appeasers to give us the support the Libs say they could have generated but certainly would not have (whew!).

Bottom line is: Kerry insulted our brave volunteers in the military, both Freudianly and consiously. Even if he had meant to slam Bush, his words unmistakably slammed the troops as well. He can't have one without the other. And his explanation / defense, boggled the mind. Such vitriolic hyperdefensiveness couldn't have really persuaded even his most ardent supporters, could it [have]?

Pompous asses, shouldn't try to be versatile. People laugh at pompous assholes, not with them. If you're going to be totally humorless, best to simply be seemingly authoritative. You might then be able to fool some of the people.
